Night Currency & A Quick Lap Around Downtown LA!
1590 days went by quickly! Out again for some night currency, I generally don't record night flights because you lose a lot of the quality with the lack of natural light but what the heck. I had 2 takeoffs and landings to complete prior to Sunday or else my night currency would lapse and I'd need to complete the full 3 per the FAA reg, why not make it fun with a quick lap around downtown LA before heading back to the airport.
FAR 61.57 requires that in the preceding 90 days, you've logged 3 takeoffs and landings to a full stop from the time between one hour after sunset to one hour before sunrise if you want to carry passengers at night.
