This is my guide and walkthrough for Ninja Gaiden 2 on Master Ninja difficulty played on the XBOX Series X. This walkthrough was recorded with the game outputted at 4K/120Hz, and the videos were recorded in and rendered at 4K/60fps.
XBOX BACKWARDS COMPATIBILITY/ENHANCED NOTATION
In 2019, Ninja Gaiden 2 was given backwards compatibility along with “Enhanced” features. These features included 4K, HDR, and 60fps.

COMMENTARY NOTATIONS
0:34 The figures referenced apply to the second-level strengths of the Dragon Sword and the Lunar. Each level two upgrade requires 20K essence, meaning that you need 40K essence to level up both weapons to level two.
2:42 On the dogs, you want to do Lunar ETs/UTs, but doing charged attacks requires you to have enough time to do them, and the dogs are quite aggressive: you never want to stay in one place for long. Ideally, use the Lunarʼs on-landing 360 Y attack until essence begins staggering, and then use the staggered essence to facilitate charges.
