Here is a perfect playthrough of Ninja Gaiden II: The Dark Sword of Chaos done in one segment without getting hit once. No save states or slowdown was used.

Little by little I worked on this, and I was able to keep adding levels to my repertoire. When I eventually reached the 7th stage in a run, I figured "Why not go for broke?" Sure enough, with enough planning, practice, and determination, I eventually managed to pull it off.

Careful management of weapon energy and the fire wheel ability proved to be an important aspect in making this work. With the fire wheel, you can just ignore many of the more annoying threats without having to worry about careful dodging or timed attacks. Of course, you can't use it all the time, and sometimes the fire ninpo (upward shot) is essential. Hell, I don't even use the fire wheel at all in the last level. I'm pretty proud of my methods I came up with for the later boss battles. Jaquio seemed especially intimidating at first, but my plan of attack reduced the threat significantly. Still, his final 2 forms worried me more than anything else.

Eventually, I get a successful run, but there are many failings that had preceded it. I had 2 runs end somewhere in 7-2, and 2 others end on Jaquio. Even in this run, if I hadn't killed him when I did, I would've been hit in the very next instant.

All in all, I'm pretty proud of this one. Hope you enjoy it!
