This is the Ninja Gaiden Trilogy edition of the first Ninja Gaiden. The NGT on the SNES was a compilation of the three NES NG games. Unlike, say, Super Mario All Stars, this compilation did not make any significant improvements to graphics or sound. In fact, I generally prefer the NES soundtrack. Meanwhile, there are a number of typos in the cut scenes, and a few glitches here and there.

So! Ryu Hayabusa sets off on a journey to avenge his father. The first act takes place in a generic big city, and gangs of weirdos are out to stop you... Where else is a ninja to run but into a seedy bar? One of the easiest bosses in history awaits you there. All he does is walk forward a bit, swing a short axe, and repeat. You can just stand in front of him and cut him up. Those dog-like creatures that rush you during the levels are harder then this!
