Welcome ladies and gentlemen to Ninja Gaiden Shadow on the Nintendo Game Boy. This portable version was released in 1991, but is the prequel to the NES Ninja Gaiden Trilogy.

This was meant to be a different game, Shadow Ninjas, that morphed into a Ninja Gaiden game in the end. Eaier than the NES games, but shouldn't be taken lightly, Ninja Gaiden Shadow was a good way to enjoy Ninja Gaiden back in the day without all the frustration.
