Here is part 3 of my complete (with all cinematic cut scenes) no damage run of Ninja Ryukenden III Yomi No Hakobune for the Famicom, which is the original Japanese version of what went on to become Ninja Gaiden III The Ancient Ship of Doom for the NES in North America.

While the Famicom version is widely regarded as the easiest version, the Super Famicom/Super Nintendo versions are actually the easiest, as Ryu only loses one energy unit per hit. Even the spikes do the same amount of damage as a regular enemy in those games!

There were surprisingly no Youtube videos featuring a no damage run of Ninja Ryukenden III for the Famicom, until now that is! Having already finished the NES version without taking any damage a few years ago, I decided to do the same with the original Japanese version.

It was not as easy as I had initially anticipated, as some of the placement of the enemies are different, as are some of the placement of the items, which threw me off at times.

Despite being really nervous going into Act 7, my overall sense of determination got me through it all in the end. My grandfather's spirit likely helped me out as well, since it had been exactly a month since he passed away. Muito obrigado, avô/thank you very much, grandfather!

Remember to always face your fears head-on and have faith that everything will work out, because virtually anything is possible and it's all up to you!

Played by Daniel "DTysonator" Teixeira on an official NES console while using a regular controller and a Famicom game adapter. Absolutely no cheating was used as always.

This video is a tribute to our Ninja Gaiden III NES A & C Retro Review, seeing as how it has been exactly a year since we uploaded it on March 30, 2012, good times!

I also dedicate this run to our good friend Naoki from Japan. Hopefully you will appreciate reading through all of the cinematic cut scenes, because it took a lot of patience on my part to sit through them all hahaha! ;)
