Ninja Ryūkenden Tomoe 忍者龍剣伝 巴 | NO DEMON HEAD DAMAGE | Ninja Gaiden Trilogy SNES TECMO 1995
Ninja Gaiden Trilogy SNES TECMO 1995 Japanese SNES version. No Damage from Demon Head on 3rd variation of final boss. The pattern of slash cancel (while in air B+ Down on Dpad ) I am using is ( jump, 2 slashes)x4, jump, 1 slash, =, 9 slashes. Then at exact peak of Ryu's jump (not a hair before or it will fail) mash like crazy!!! to get 7 more slashes. 6 in the air, and one when he lands. I find this strategy the best for consistency. I tried doing (jump, x3 slashes)x3 as the set up. But for some reason the game does not register one of the three slashes. No matter how I time it during his jump. Which when this happens makes it so the timing of the demon head changes ruining killing it before it touches Ryu. So I have settled on this pattern for now. One good thing about this pattern is since you are only committing to 2 air slash cancels per jump in the beginning. You have a small amount of more time to dodge his pink shrimp that he ejects. The best I have done the no falling demon head damage is starting from 6-2 stage. That is the farthest back I have loaded a save since I just starting practicing this only last 48 hours (2 days). The farthest back I have started and received absolutely zero damage from the final boss (3rd from) is from before the 2nd boss. That is the last clip in the video, where I get a total perfect on his 3rd final form. I did not use any TURBO or Rapid Fire to do this. Eventually I would like to try to start from very beginning of game and get to final boss and kill the falling demon head without it touching me. However since I am GOING to take damage before then, it is kind pointless. Also I have a higher chance of getting the Demon Head kill without it touching me, but then get hit from the falling shrimp or tail while I am dodging the shrimp. This jump slash pattern works the exact same in the NES version of Ninja Gaiden. I just tested it before uploading this video. So in conclusion, the slash pattern I mentioned above is the only consistent way I have found to destroy the falling demon head before it touches Ryu. Whether NES or SNES version, makes no difference.
