This version of the game is not like the others and seems like the developers were trying to take the game in another direction. The game is definitely the easiest of all versions as you pretty much stay in the pack all the time and quickly re-join after an accident. Watch out when approaching the finish line though as the pack will creep up to try and steal first place away from you.

Apart from the obvious new look, all polygon 3d racing the gameplay is mostly the same. Now you can have collectable weapons and score multiplies on hidden routes / shortcuts. However going for these pickups will highly likely mean crashing your bike collecting them.

Its not a bad version of the game, but there is defiantly something lacking compared to all other versions. The lack of banter between riders before/after each race is one of them. When choosing my bike at the start of the game, I didnt realise I was also choosing the character I play as. The character choice determines which weapons you start with. Im pretty sure bike and player were two separate options in previous versions. -
