In 2006, Nintendo and developer Skip launched a series of minimalist games for the Game Boy Advance under the bit Generations banner. Pairing focused and refined gameplay mechanics with eye-catching visual presentations, the series became a favorite among GBA fans and collectors, and several bit Generations games were later remade for the Wii as part of Nintendo's Art Style collection.
