Nintendo DS Longplay [029] Chrono Trigger (Part 5 of 11)

One of Square's greatest creations. (who/what da frak is Square Enix?)
To sum up the game:
A day at the fair = the greatest adventure ever!
Oh, and it also involves an outerspace porcupine who happens to the be the final boss. Easily deduced within 3 or so hours into the game.
Sure, the site has Chrono Trigger, but it is the SNES version. If you watched that one already, then you are not missing anything (except for maybe knowing what I'm doing, since I played the PSX version.) This is just another port of the SNES classic with stuff from the PSX version (anime cutscenes) and some additions when released on the DS, like 2 new dungeons (one is lame because it involves going up and down the same damn mountain and one is okay), a cleaner translation (it lacks "Good morning, Crono." D: Game is still awesome without it), a Monster Arena, and a new ending that I believe is canon (Chrono series is all over the place anyway). The game also popularized New Game+ (it wasn't the first to use NG+. Zelda II did it first IIRC. Don't care if it is inaccurate.)
Basic "stuff-I-do" wall o' text:
I will be fighting my fights (I have to get levels somehow). I should mention that the game isn't grindy (except for the Hunting Range. Hunting Range Nu is a great place to farm TP early.) There are times I do a small grind (Tyranno Lair to get Ayla's Charm). I play the game with highest ATB (like I always do with Square games with ATB). Classic Mode. Active only (on all Square games with ATB). Final Destin--nevermind. Sidequests are included. Before the Porcupine Rush, I do the Queen Zeal fight with Sugam (you can fight Zeal 3 times by going Present-Middle Age-Antiquity). As for after the Porcupine Rush, the extra Prismatic Helms and Prismatic Dress come from charming Zeal multiple times.
After game completion, I do the Lost Sanctum (did it post game because the items in it are full of fail except for a few items, like the Elemental Aegis and Dragon's Tear.) and then the Dimensional Vortex (has everyone's new ultimate weapon except Crono's. His is obtained after getting the new ending. It isn't THAT great.)
Fun fact: Everything after after getting the wings is actually optional. Yes, that includes "the revival".
Fun fact: Palace Porcupine = hardest ending to get. Alternative is fighting the Porcupine early in NG+. -
