Nintendo Switch 2 is finally announced, and it will be released in June at a staggering $450. That's pretty expensive already, but that's not as expensive as the games. The games are $80 digital and $90 physical, and that's assuming that the physical copy has data in them. No really. Some physical copies are just "game key cards," and you have to download the data of the games yourself.

Absolutely nobody likes this at all. This will set a bad precedent to the gaming industry that video games in the future will cost way more. And you wonder why people are sailing the seas, right?

It's a shame because I do think that the Switch 2 has some really nice innovations and hardware upgrades that do make it a compelling purchase. The biggest problem is the games. There are so many people complaining about how ridiculously expensive the costs are, but there will still be many of those that just accept the price for what they are because Nintendo games are great.

They are still great. Don't get me wrong. Heck, getting an exclusive deal with FROM Software is crazy considering that Sony bought their parent company, but this will set a bad precedent in the gaming industry where companies are just going to charge people whatever costs they like for products that are not worth that price.

In the end, it doesn't really matter whether we buy good stuff or bad stuff. The industry will continue to progressively get worse no matter what people chose to buy with their money. I recommend buying any of the handheld gaming PCs. They're a much better deal than what Nintendo is offering with their Switch 2.
