Nintendo Switch 2 is as powerful as a PS4 and I think that's fine
The new Nintendo Switch 2 said to be coming in 2024 is rumored to have Playstation 4/PS4 level graphics and many people are criticizing the console for having outdated hardware and saying it's disappointing even though it's a handheld hybrid and would be performing at about the same specs and performance as a Steam Deck if it were able to play games with those kinds of visuals. There's a lot of rumors and speculation going around and more information and details seem to be coming out every day, but I think it's fine if Nintendo's new console isn't as powerful as a Playstation 5/PS5 or an Xbox Series X, neither of which are particularly impressive and they don't even have that many games worth playing. Here I talk about the Nintendo Switch 2's potential, show how good Playstation 4 games still look after a decade, 10 years later, how realistic graphics have more or less peaked, and improvements to the Switch that would make it a better gaming console, such as fixing the Joy-Con drift that's been an issue with even the Switch Pro controller, improving the frame rate to a minimum of 60 FPS, and backwards compatibility with the Switch library would be huge if it played the same type of cartridges so the games we've collected carry over.
