Nintendon't's Lack of Legacy
1,092Nintendo may have made some bad decisions from time to time, but this one seems to be a problem. They announced that they will close the Nintendo eShop for Wii U and 3DS. If doing so, people won't be able to purchase Virtual Console games. And for the Switch, the classic games are behind the paywall, and the only way to play these games is to purchase the Nintendo Online Subscription.
But why can't they simply sell classic games as normal instead of just putting them in the subscriptive paywall? I just think it sounds redundant. And there are some people who are reluctant enough to pirate their games too. And sure, you can get classic games from anywhere else like eBay for example, but you might be worried that if these used games might be... you know... damaged or something?
Please Nintendo, just don't throw your legacy away just because you want to keep going forward in terms of technology. Let the people new and old play your legacy games. Please don't make us go in that "other" direction, okay?
