The silver moon shimmered coldly through the mist. Shiro Tsukiyari stood at the edge of the valley, her yari gripped tightly in hand, haunted by the memory of that night—the night a demon tore her home apart and devoured her parents.

In Nioh 2, it is said the protagonist was orphaned by such a fiend, their fate forever altered by its cruelty. Shiro’s path was no different: her childhood carved into stone by loss, her life defined by the shadow of vengeance.

The spear she carried was plain, unadorned—a relic left behind by a nameless warrior. Yet in her hands it became more than steel and wood: it was her vow, her reminder that the cycle of fear would end with her.

Before her now stretched the Village of Cursed Blossoms. Once a place of celebration, where cherry trees bathed the streets in petals of spring, it had become a hollow grave. The blossoms had blackened, corrupted, carrying death and madness upon the wind.

Step by step, Shiro moved forward, the stench of decay filling her lungs, the whispers of the past clawing at her mind. Still, her resolve did not falter.

“I will no longer flee from the demon that shattered my life… and I will not allow this curse to spread to others.”

Her silver hair gleamed under the moonlight, the spear in her hand gleaming like a shard of that very light. And so her journey began—into the heart of the curse, where only blood and steel could decide her fate.
