Nissan Design | 2014 Paris Auto Show | Autotrader
We recently had a chance to get up close with the all-new Nissan Pulsar and with the man who led its design process: Nissan's chief designer, Shiro Nakamura. So what insights about the car design process did Nakamura provide?
"Design is always the biggest purchase reason for the customer," said Nakamura, who noted that design can especially inspire an emotional decision to buy a car. Nakamura also told us that automotive headlight design is one of the most important aspects of new car's design, noting that "not only Nissan, but many people are putting emphasis on headlamps." Nakamura also opined that a high-quality, thoughtful design will last for many years.
And the Nissan Pulsar? Though it probably won't come to the States, the 5-door hatchback could preview the overall design and styling of Nissan's next-generation Sentra sedan, which is due out in the next few years.
