The new version is said to bring together the latest software updates, bug fixes and performance improvements, and out-of-the-box hardware support. Herrera stated that the system, built on the 6.1.0-2.1 Liquorix kernel , includes the KDE Plasma 5.26.4 desktop environment and KDE Frameworks 5.101.0 and KDE Gear 22.12.0; He stated that the system comes with up-to-date software such as Firefox 108.0.1, MESA 23.0 and Calamares now allows custom kernel parameters to be added on the GRUB file. It is stated that the default "overview" view of the Plasma system monitor has been updated to show a list of processes instead of applications. Reminding that this version is codenamed “ff”, Herrera; on the system where it is stated that it means “forbidden fruit” and dpkg, APT and PackageKit have been removed; Work is being done to take home the point that AppImages are the preferred method for adding new apps and you have the option to use Flatpak when an AppImage is not available. By the way, it is stated that Distrobox can also be used.
