On January 16, 2020, CDPR admitted that they have NO AAA Witcher games in production. There is NO "dual franchise". There is ONE franchise that CD Projekt Red is working on it is Cyberpunk. CDPR misled its investors and gamers that it had adopted a "dual franchise" model with The Witcher and Cyberpunk. Nevertheless, the ONLY AAA games in development since 2016 have been Cyberpunk 2077 and Cyberpunk Multiplayer. As The Witcher has surged in popularity CD Projekt Red shows it cannot walk and chew gum at the same time. It can't even chew gum without choking. See the questions around the 8:00 and 21:00 minute marks where SVP of business development Michal Nowakowski and President Adam Kicinski admit that the secret AAA game is Cyberpunk Multiplayer. The Witcher has no AAA RPG development teams. Moreover, Cyberpunk Multiplayer will not launch until 2022 and we likely cannot expect any Witcher AAA development to START until after 2022. The Witcher games are over. CD Projekt Red is just hoarding the rights to the games without developing them.
