No Man's Sky Leaks Analysis Spoiler Free / Is No Mans Sky worth buying? READ: WE GOT THE DAY ONE PATCH, MAKES NMS EVEN BETTER! THIS CHANGES EVERYTHING: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BniA3S2Mxdo / Yo What's up guys, nate here! Today I take a look at the recent drama behind No Man's Sky and use the information given to us by Hello Games to make sense of all of this drama. Hello Games the developer of No Man's Sky has released very little information to the public but we have been given just enough to get a decent idea of the game through interviews and statements from Hello Games, and more I'm first discussing why people are recently in distress over No Man's Sky. All of this No Man's Sky drama started when reddit user daymeeuhn was able to purchase No Man's Sky early and posted hours of leaks online. There was a wave of tweets from Hello Games stats hinting at a day one patch for No Man's Sky. Sean Murray later tweeted "We've spent years filling No Man's Sky with surprises, You've spent years waiting. Please don't spoil it for yourself :(" Hello games also tweeted "5am at Hello Games. Wrapping up a month of work on our first update. Lots of new features, balancing and content" Another type of patch note tweets: "We've added even more Colors!" These first updates are great for no Man's Sky buyers showing how Hello Games is still working hard on patches just days before release. The main controversy surrounding No Man's Sky pre-release is that the center of the galaxy can be reached in around 30 hours. Sean murray even stated in a game Informer interview in 2014 that the voyage to the center of the galaxy could take “If you know what you’re doing and all of that kind of thing, some speed runner will prove me wrong, but [it’s] like 40 to 100 hours. To reach the center of the galaxy." Daymeeuhn was able to reach the center of the galaxy in around 30 by selling an overpriced item in game he states: "I dunno why they chose to make this item really expensive, but it seems really weird." In theory this "really weird" system could be what Hello Games had in mind for someone who wanted to reach the center of the galaxy in a shorter amount of time. Although Daymeeuhn has not yet leaked what happens when you reach the center of the No Man's Sky galaxy, I do know that Sean Murray stated in a game Informer interview in 2014 that: "You start out in a same galaxy as everyone else when you begin, but as we have said before there is more than one galaxy." In defense of the allegations that daymeeuhn "Speed Runned" his way through No Man's Sky he posted: "Contrary to what a lot of people think, I have done A LOT of what the game has to offer, and I definitely still have stuff to do." Daymeeuhn hopes that the sale cost of this item is nerfed. Daymeeuhn may have done Hello Games a favor by playing the game early, almost like a beta test, or on the other hand we may all be being fooled and whatever these early game adopters are protesting about are just part of the advancement in the game. Incidentally there is also speculation that the copy that daymeeuhn has been playing isn't a retail version of No Man's Sky and it is simply a ESRB review copy of sorts, somehow being made easier for a reviewer? Another player by the name of: "bigtiggles" was able to get a retail copy of the game, and although they are playing the game in their own unique ways, reddit users have seen virtually no difference between bigtiggles version of No Man's Sky and Daymeeuhns . I do know that the version of No Man's Sky that someone plays before August 9th is not the version of the game that the devs intend us to play, due to the great enchancements no mans sky can receive through updates. People have also expressed concern over things that Sean Murray said would be in the game that those who played the game early have yet to see, but these early game adopters have simply not explored enough of the 18.4 quintillion planets to make that assumption, and game development changes over time for the better of the game, so some of these things being in the game may have possibly made the experience worse.
