I challanged myself to animate this in 5 days. I wanted to join one of my favorite internet movements of the past few weeks - these transgressive 1950-70s Soul/R&B fake-song covers. I believe that Metro Boomin begun it with King Willonius - "BBL Drizzy", but I'm not THAT terminally online to confirm it. I decided to cover Little Richard and Howling Wolf, looked through their lyrics, their rhyme structure, common phrases and themes and came up with three fake-songs, the third one was a parody of Aretha Franklin, but I didn't have enough faith in it.
This video is a bit of an experiment, I think that I like the ability to respond to current-day events (limited to online culture at the moment) with animated videos. It's far more liberating than doing 20 minute videos every time I want to hop onto this channel and share my work and thoughts. Hopefully this aim for consistency will revitalise this community which is scattered, and not clog up HoovyTube as a channel with slop.
The next project is a continuation of "The GAMEVERSE" - but it's on a back-burner now. Reality ego check'ed me. A hollistic plan for this channel was far too ambitious perhaps.
