no more slips of paper in #boardgames, I keep my points like this! #boardgames #MyScoreTracker!
If there's one thing I hate about board games, it's those pads that they put in boxes to keep track of your points. They're beautiful, with amazing graphics, but if we're lucky, we've used them all up in a short time and we have to use other sheets that then end up in the boxes, filling them up to the point of absurdity. If we're unlucky, we've only used two and when we want to sell the board game, the guy on duty only wants to give us €2 because we've used up a couple of sheets. Also, I'm clumsy and I can't even tolerate scoreboards anymore, because every now and then I bump into them and everything flies away!
But we're in 2025 and technology comes to our aid in solving these problems. In particular, smartphone apps. Over the course of my life as a board game player, I've tried many, but since March I've been using My Score Tracker, at the developers' invitation, and I have to say I'm particularly happy with it!
My score Tracker has some features that I really liked, starting with the fact that each game is completely customizable: game name, number of players, victory conditions, random first player and many other things that make any type of board game easily playable; the fact of naming each game gives the possibility of having a history of the games played, making statistics available on the individual board games. In addition, I really appreciated the way in which points are calculated with positive and negative numbers, making it super easy to enter even complex scores.
I also use My Score Tracker as a character sheet in various role-playing games or other similar gaming experiences, transforming each player into a statistic or inventory item: it makes it much easier to keep track of everything.
My Score Tracker convinced me and it took me 5 months to talk to you about it, because I wanted to be sure of its qualities and of the developers' willingness to always implement new features, a promise they are keeping!
