I think they are great! The Racing Game community has this sense of doomerism that I want to talk about today. From Video Essays proclaiming that everything that comes out nowadays isn't good, or people asking for remasters of older racing games such as Need for Speed Underground and NFS Most Wanted. I wanted to to go back in time today and take a look at racing game discourse and discussion from the old days.

Today we go back in time to the early 2000's to take a look at what people were complaining about in the golden age of Need for Speed, and we see how nothing has really changed in the past 20 years when it comes to complaints and discussion around racing games such as Need for Speed, Forza, and Gran Turismo.
