Fellow Racing Game Content Creator UltraViolet released a video essay on the state of Need for Speed Unbound in 2024 and how he feels the game is an outright scam providing no value due to the monetization practices of Criterion Games and Electronic Arts.

I wanted to make a rare reaction response video to UltraViolet because I feel his video dangerously glances over the actual state of NFS Unbound in terms of it's new content such as cars, events, the linkups, new drag and drift modes introduced with volume 7, and new gameplay additions. While also providing a disingenuous argument about supporting Criterion Game's work going forward.

I overall want to have a discussion about this because I feel it's important to raise the alarm when we see disinformation introduced into our racing game scene. Everything nowadays has to be in extremes and I don't feel that Way. I don't want these extremes to become the narrative in the community. Plus I want to discuss healthy discussion within it. After all we all share the same space!
