No Skill Build for Beating Scorpion Lord in Black Myth Wukong [Easy Strategy]
No Skill Build for Beating Scorpion Lord in Black Myth Wukong [Easy Strategy]
If you're like me and lack the perfect dodging or parrying skills needed to breeze through bosses, then this build is for you. In this video, I’ll show you how I managed to beat most of the bosses in Black Myth: Wukong. Now, keep in mind, this strategy won’t work against someone like Yellow Brow, because he negates most spells. But for most other fights, it’s extremely effective.
First, let’s talk about the key components of this build. The most important item is the Legendary Mana Restoration Gourd. If you have Jade Essence or Turtle Tear Soak equipped, you’ll recover a moderate amount of mana when you use the gourd while at full health. This is essential to keep your mana flowing throughout the fight, and you’ll see how I use it constantly to keep myself topped up.
For spells, the main ones you’ll use are Cloud Step, which has an incredibly low cooldown, allowing you to dodge and reposition multiple times in a fight. Then there’s Pluck of Many—this is the key spell in the build. It deals massive damage and can be cast twice if you prolong the fight like I did in this video. The clones created by Pluck of Many will do decent damage, but the trick is to keep regenerating your mana using the Gourd, so you can cast it again when ready.
For transformations, honestly, anything works, but I used Azure Dust in this fight because the Scorpion Lord was destroying all my other transformations. You’ll also want to use Immobilize as your fourth spell. Now, I accidentally kept Spell Binder in this video, so you won’t see me using Immobilize, but the strategy still works even without it.
The fight strategy is simple: Get a charged hit as early as possible, then unleash Pluck of Many. The clones will deal a good amount of damage. After casting Pluck of Many, you’ll notice that my mana nearly depletes, so that’s when you use the Gourd to replenish it. Don’t be conservative with the Gourd—use it whenever your mana drops.
Now, as soon as you find yourself in danger, don’t try to be a pro gamer. Just use Cloud Step to dodge out of the way, heal yourself, and fully charge your focus for another charged attack. Try not to miss—something I admittedly did quite a few times in this video. But if you can land your hits, you’ll finish the fight much faster.
Keep the best attack staff you have equipped, and make sure to feed the Destined One as many pills as possible before the fight. Make him a junkie, because each charged attack should do maximum damage—this is your bread and butter. Essentially, the strategy boils down to this: Use Cloud Step to dodge and heal, get in a charged attack, and repeat. As soon as Pluck of Many is available, use it.
I used this simple technique to take down most bosses up until Chapter 4, with no fancy dodging required. It’s a straightforward build that relies heavily on spell usage and mana regeneration, so if you struggle with dodging and parrying, this is the perfect setup for you.
Good luck!
