It bit him on the thumb
'Ol foreman Joe said hospital
Snakeman was having none
Finally the Orange crew dragged him
His arm 3 times its size
He was close to death but 3 days later
He's back to work with the guys
Snake man can pick 'em
500 boxes a day
And he's a quick 'un
Nobody can keep up with the snake
Well, Bird Man came rolling through
Oh what a sight to see
Everyone seemed drawn to him
He moved so naturally
He kept up such an even pace
Even Snake Man stopped to watch
Bird Man looked at Snake Man said
Looks like I'm gonna be the new boss
He threw the gauntlet
It was a rotten orange bouquet
Snake Man accepted
Nobody can keep up with the snake
Well, they battled
In the orange grove
Each man picking his best
Bird Man flew and Snake Man crawled
Who would win well it was anyone's guess
They kept on hacking
And they kept stacking
Boxes 20 feet high
And wouldn't you know
When the whistled blowed
Bird Man was just one shy
And Snake Man just climbed without a single word
Threw his gloves off and walked away
And the men all muttered to themselves:
"Nobody can keep up with the snake"
