Nokia 5.1 Plus Leaked 3D Design
HMD Global recently launched the Nokia 5.1 alongside Nokia 3.1 and Nokia 2.1. Now, based on leaked renders and a 360-degree video, it looks like the company is getting ready to launch a higher-end variant, dubbed as the Nokia 5.1 Plus. The device is said to be a cross between the Nokia X6 and the Nokia 5.1, and will be featuring a 5.7-inch display with a notch at the top.
It looks like Nokia 5.1 Plus will feature a metal body very similar to the Nokia X6. Thanks to the notch at the top, the display is likely to feature an aspect ratio of 19:9. While the notch on the display looks big, there is also a big chin at the bottom, which makes the phone look taller. The phone is said to carry dimensions of 149.5 x 71.9 x 8mm.
After launching the Nokia 5 and Nokia 5.1 on the market, HMD plans to released yet another mid-range Android smartphone called Nokia 5.1 Plus. The folks over at OnLeaks have created a bunch of CAD renders of the unannounced smartphone showing a dual-camera on the back, a rare feature to be included in a mid-range handset.
More importantly, the Nokia 5.1 Plus has a notched display, so there's a high chance that the smartphone will be launched worldwide as a response to the positive feedback the company's Nokia X6 received after its China-exclusive release.
If the renders are accurate, then the notch on the Nokia 5.1 Plus will be slightly wider than the one we have seen on the Nokia X6. Even though there are minimum side bezels, a thick chin is present on the device’s front. The volume rockers and the power button is placed on the right edge of the smartphone, while the USB Type-C port sits at the bottom edge with a speaker module on its right. There could also be a 3.5mm audio jack on the top edge of the device. On the rear, the handset features a dual camera setup with a flash and below it sits a fingerprint sensor. The antenna lines are visible on the top and bottom of the device and the rear panel looks like it is made from glass but it’s difficult to confirm this from the video.
