I've heard many great things about Dwarf Fortress but was never able to get into the text only version. This new graphical version seems much easier to play so I got it right away. I'll be building out my fortress into the side of a mountain by a river in the forest. The detail and complexity of this game is vast so hopefully I learn and survive a while. Dying is fun though.
