Music and video games can trigger memories out of nowhere, very similar to the way scents and tastes can uncover dormant nostalgia. For me, a video game will often conjure up the memories of what I had been listening to at the time – and vice versa. There are several video game/music album combinations that will be forever entwined for me simply due to the coincidental timing of hearing certain music while enjoying specific games. There are simply some albums I cannot listen to without thinking about the game I had been playing at the time; while on the same token, there are also plenty of games that I can play which will always remind me of specific songs. Here are six music album/video game combos that will always go hand-in-hand for me.
