What if...rather than going with a Commodore 64 in 1988, my parents had instead brought a ZX Spectrum and I grew up in a Sinclair/Amstrad household? It very nearly happened! My parents changed their minds at the last moment, in turn changing the course of my gaming history. And how might my experience of the games that appeared on Ocean's Hit Squad budget label have differed? That's what we'll find out in this vid as I delve into the ZX Spectrum versions of games of which I have fond Commodore memories.

I've chosen to play the 48k versions of each game, as I feel that's what most people would have played back in the day.

Dedicated to my partner, supportive in all the things I do and taking a retro journey alongside me, one I'm very happy to be able to share with her.
