Sharka's QuickBytes #8: The Sound of Amiga Arcade
In Sharka's QuickBytes, I'll be taking a bite-sized (byte-sized?) look at retro games, usually several per video when I'm covering a particular series or theme. There will be more editing and shorter and more scripted commentary in QuickBytes than in the laid-back Nostalgic Nibbles series and most vids won't be longer than ten minutes - perfect for a quick blast of Sharka-themed retro goodness.
In this episode, we'll be focusing not on the gameplay or graphics quality of arcade conversions to Amiga but instead on their music, specifically on pieces of bespoke music used in the title screens and intros of three particular conversions. So, sit back and relax and prepare to have your ears blessed by the talents of some famous Amiga musicians.
Dedicated to my partner, supportive in all the things I do and taking a retro journey alongside me, one I'm very happy to be able to share with her.
EDIT: Apologies for any ads that run on this video. None of mine are monetized, but 'Warner Chapell' has copyright claimed the R-Type intro.
