The error "Not enough storage is available to process this command ", may appear when you try to access shared folders on another Windows workstation or a Server 2003, 2008, 2012 or 2016, or when you're using the Remote Desktop Connection (RDP), to connect to another Windows computer (Workstation or Server).

‘Not enough server storage is available to process this command’, is an annoying error that I have come across a couple of times when using some of the machines at work and home over the past few years. This isn’t an error that will affect every user, but, if you do come across it, then here are a couple of reasons as to why it can happen:

1. When you try to access the shared folders on the Server machine, you receive the error message: "Shared Folder is not accessible. You might not have permission to use this network resource. Contact the administrator of this server to find out if you have access permissions. Not enough server storage is available to process this command."

2. When you try to remotely connect (using RDP) to another Windows based machine, you get the error message: "The system cannot log you on due to the following reason. Not enough storage is available to process this command".

Issues addressed in this tutorial:

not enough storage is available to process this command,
