This review is a little different for two reasons. First is that I'm reviewing a demo for a game with a Kickstarter as opposed to a major PC or console game. The other is that I decided to play the game while doing commentary at the same time. Not something I'll do all the time as I prefer the post-commentary for demo reviews so I can collect my thoughts afterwards. That wasn't hard to do with this demo though.

Basically, there's not much to the demo. I first found out about it on Screw Attack (I'll link the article below) and decided to check it out. You can get through in a few minutes. There are a couple minor enemies, three "bosses", and that's it. While the character design and animation aren't bad, the rest just feels unpolished to the point it feels like a pre-alpha demo. Granted it is just that: a demo. However, if you're going to provide a demo for a Kickstarter game that you want people to back, you might want to give them something more than this.

Here's the address for the article on Screw Attack. Granted it is in a test phase so to speak and he's asking those who play it to email him suggestions and such, it just feels like it's so early in the game's development that there's a lot that can be suggested. My suggestion would have been to wait a bit to release a demo or video to get a lot more in there, and THEN start the Kickstarter. With the Kickstarter at only a few days left and not many backers, the demo isn't really helping much.
