Re-upload with a bit of a twist. Hope you guys enjoy! Felt like with Detective Pikachu's release I should spread my joy of Pokemon!

Core Rules:
1. Players must also nickname all of their Pokémon, nicknames may be changed however.
2. The player may only catch the first Pokémon encountered in each area, and none else. If the first Pokémon encountered faints or flees, there are no second chances.
3. Any Pokémon that faints is considered dead, and must be released or put in the Pokémon Storage System permanently.
4. A black out/white out is considered to be "game over", even if there are Pokémon left in the PC.
5. No event/gift Pokemon may be used in the run of the Nuzlocke, discretion of how far this applies is left up to the player.

Optional Rules:
1. Battle Style Clause: The game mode for battle style must be "set".
2. Item Clause: Only items found in the world, given, etc. maybe used. No PokeMarts may be used except for O.R. #3. Purchased items outside of the "PokeMart" still apply.
3. PokeBall Clause: Only 5 pokeballs may be purchased at each PokeMart one time only. The greatest equivalent (Great/Ultra Ball) maybe be purchased when available. Found pokeballs may still be used.
4. HM Clause: For the purpose of completing the Nuzlocke, if story progression is barred by an HM not usable by any of the current roster of Pokemon (including PC), the player may catch an HM-positive Pokemon for strict use of using the HM alone. No battle, switching, or survival as a result of this Pokemon being the last in the party is allowed.
5. Shiny Clause: Any shiny Pokemon found voids rules of capture, route, etc. however, any item used or any fainted Pokemon during this encounter may NOT be recovered.
6. Duplicates Clause: Adjusting the first encounter rule to prevent the player from having to catch multiple of the same Pokémon. The limit is one time. If you encounter a double you may try again once, and after that encounter the route becomes invalid.
7. Legendary Clause: Legendary Pokemon may be caught provided all other rules are followed.
8. Traded Pokemon Clause: Traded Pokemon for the sake of evolving only may be allowed.
9. Safari Zone Clause: Each area in the Safari Zone is to be counted as it's own separate route.
10. Day-Care/Exp. Share Clause: Neither of these may be used in the Nuzlocke.
11. Gym Battles Clause: Once you enter a gym, you may not leave until you have defeated the Leader of said gym. Trainers within the gym may be fought or avoided.
12. Yellow Clause: This clause is meant only for Pokemon Yellow and uses the ideals of an optional rule in regards to Starter Pokemon. Since in Yellow you are forced to have a Pikachu and yet all three original starters are available, the Trainer ID Clause will take effect and as follows: 1-3 will be Grass Starter, 4-6 will be Fire Starter, and 7-9 being Water Starter with 0 being the player's choice. This number used is the last number of the player ID.
