Nvidia have formally announced their GeForce GTX 1060 graphics card, and the 6GB model will be retailing at 250 US dollars, with 300 dollars being for the founders edition of the card.

The GEForce GTX 1060 will put out the same levels of performance as the GTX 980, and will be launching in July 19th world wide.

The GTX 1060 will feature 1280 CUDA cores, 192 gigabytes of memory bandwidth and 6GB of memory. The GTX 1060 will be aiming to compete with AMD's own RX 480 graphics card, which is already launched, but further cards / custom cooler RX 480 cards will be released over the July 2016 period.

The 1060, along with the 1070 and 1080 will help add to Nvidia's lineup of Pascal based GPU's, with the GTX 1060 being based on the GP106 graphics card.
