Nyko Playpad Review
63Forgot to mention it's price: 40 bux.
This is like the first time I've been the first in the world to do something! And all because this is apparently impossible to find right now and it fell into my lap.
PROS:
Great idea, less cumbersome than wiimote+nunchuk
Love the mouse functionality
More portable than other gamepads I've seen (makes portable smash bros a reality, if you have two of them!)
Dpad is actually good unlike most gamepads these days!
The playground app stuff for making touchscreen games not suck, if you have a tablet with android 4.0+
CONS:
Can't get the spongy buttons to work, oh how I wish they would
Can't get the second analog to work either, except on PC
First analog and DPAD appear to map to the same key codes
Analog nubs will eat your soul
I'd give it a 6/10 currently, if the buttons ever all function properly I'd give it a 7. Those analog nubs though...
I also give my own review a 2/5, due to lack of practice doing reviews and terrible audio on that last bit for some reason.
