Time To Kill is a third person action-adventure game - complete with platforming and plenty of running-and-gunning. There are elements of collecting and puzzle-solving littered throughout the game too. This game is absolutely perfect for completionists, or those who just like to go exploring. Each stage has a number of secret areas full of items to find, and sometimes there's an item hidden in the stage which gives access to a bonus round wherein the player has a chance to unlock an upgraded weapon. Plus there's always the immensely satisfying reward of seeing "secrets found: 7 of 7" on the results screen. With varying thematic locations, each stage has its own platforming challenges, and new puzzles to solve. Each stage also introduces new enemies, and the player must figure out the best way of dispatching each new foe.
