Oblivion Mod Review - An-Arane Cey [Part 6] - Rating
Overall: 8/10 (This contradicts what I said in the video, but I have done a more thorough review of the story to change the score.)
Graphics / Sound: 9/10
+ An-Arane Cey looks impressive
+ The atmosphere in the unique area is well done
+ Good voice acting
Story: 7/10
+ An added back story for the mod and sword
+ Lore travels back to Morrowind and involves characters from the game
* All the details are somewhat obscured until the very end, where all can either remain a mystery or be revealed in a single scene
- Contradiction in the skeleton having waited centuries, but the clues are within recent venues? Also, if he is bound to be the weapon's guardian, how were the clues placed? If he was free the entire time, why not just use the sword to take his revenge that way?
Gameplay: 8.5/10
+ A fairly difficult boss battle
+ Also a puzzle, but not one that is impossible to solve
+ Fair hints that lead the player throughout vanilla Cyrodiil dungeons
- Doesn't offer much as far as new territory or challenges go (besides the final battle)
Player Bonuses: 8/10
* Pretty much just An-Arane Cey
+ The sword does have unique abilities, though, with an auto-recharge effect after so many kills
- The sword is, however, outclassed by other mods' weapons - even those that can be purchased; this depends on the mods you have, though
