From February 2019. I went back with a new hardware and software configuration for a second look.

Observations include a need for a better methodology. I want to have my cameras facing the sea for the next one. Likewise, I'll probably paint glandes black for increased contrast - a black body that shows up even in poor contrast with background (which is always going to be sky). Most importantly, I'll need to place high speed camera perpendicular to finish line (as opposed to perpendicular to the halfway mark), and may need to use a synchronised second camera to time release (start) with finish line (end). The fisheye effect is pretty extreme, too. Very warped. I'll have to slowmo film start and finish point, basically.
If I'm using conservative estimates and the traversed distance is actually 12m instead of 10m (which is easily possible with the lateral and vertical deviation), then I'm underestimating velocity by 20%, which when you're up above 70m/s, is a hell of a lot. That would put this at 84m/s which could ostensibly be competing for the fastest documented human throw (above 190 mph with jai alai). I'll be revising this experiment and trying to do this again with these improvements. Also, I'll be looking through this footage further. I made bold claims of 100m/s in the first video for this based on frame examination of pouch rotation before release during this trip, and had 90m/s be tentatively confirmed by others using this method, so that's my expectation/hope. I'll look into doppler calculations with use of semitones, too.
