Ocarina of Time Randomizer - Freaky Friday Race | Pride Month 2022 Seed | Where's My Wallet?
0In honor of Pride Month 2022, the settings for this seed will ensure that we wave that rainbow flag high up in the sky! How do we accomplish this?
To start, all songs have migrated to the shopkeepers, and they've also been sorted by color. All red songs are in the first shop you'd check, the orange ones are in the second one you'd check, etc., etc. In summary, the songs are sorted as follows:
- Kokiri Shop - Red (Zelda's Lullaby & Bolero of Fire)
- Market Bazaar - Orange (Epona's Song & Requiem of Spirit)
- Market Potion - Yellow (Sun's Song & Prelude of Light)
- Bombchu Shop - Green (Saria's Song & Minuet of Forest)
- Kakariko Bazaar - Blue (Song of Time & Serenade of Water)
- Kakariko Potion - Purple (Song of Storms & Nocturne of Shadow)
(Sorry, Goron City Shop & Zora Shop. Your items are just randomized, no songs.)
Additionally, Link starts with a stone because our task will be to collect all six of the medallions in rainbow order. To make this easier, that order is:
- Fire Medallion
- Spirit Medallion
- Light Medallion
- Forest Medallion
- Water Medallion
- Shadow Medallion
The bridge will be open from the start, and all six medallions will give Ganon's Boss Key
To make this seed a bit easier and beatable with the medallion order, every boss reward is a Heart Container. Pick it up - or don't - it won't impact the playthrough.
We were allowed to enter dungeons in any order, and even beat the boss, but I cannot enter the blue warp until I have cleared the dungeon with the previous color in the list. For example, I may need to dip into Forest Medallion Jabu for the Hammer to beat Light Medallion Fire. This was on the honor system, and I obliged. 😄
Song locations dependent on dungeon completions have been disabled:
- Shiek at Temple
- Ravaged Village
- Song of Time
Cowsanity is also on since Epona's Song is available early (or... is it?). Additionally, hints are useless this go around, and maps & Compasses give information is turned on (we will know the dungeon rewards right from the start). Happy Pride, Hyrule!
