Occult Case Files (Demo) - Ways to Die/Lose & Endings
37A short demo in the style of the NES Kemco ports of Shadowgate, Deja Vu, and the Uninvited where you are searching an abandoned haunted house for a lead about the disappearance of your friend. There you'll find the spirit of someone that commit suicide after their family also disappeared at the "Vanishing Point", only now they're totally cool with making you vanish. Oh, and since it's a school night you have to be home quickly or you'll be grounded.
Not a huge variety of failures but looks promising with this game style (and I'm a sucker for this type of game). If it's only six commands obviously stupid actions will be a bit harder to pull off (unlike the old games where using a burning torch on yourself to set yourself on fire was an option).
Interestingly, there's multiple ways to repel the ghost when it initially attacks. The prayer beads are the most obvious answer but the family photo can be used (which destroys it and prevents you from getting the better ending) and you can also pray three times as a means to drive it away. So if the multiple ways to solve a puzzle carries over to a full game that could be neat to see.
