The Oconaluftee River Trail travels 1.5 miles one-way from the Oconaluftee Visitor Center to the outskirts of the city of Cherokee, NC. The trail runs through the forest along side the Oconaluftee River. It's a great trail to walk, jog or ride your bike along with great scenery all around. While your at the visitor center, you have the opportunity to learn about the Smoky Mountains as well as the Cherokee people. This is a look at some of the trail and pictures of the areas outside of the visitor center. I hope you enjoy and maybe go and see it for yourself.
