This is part 2 of my segmented speedrun for Octopath Traveler, aiming to beat all 8 character's main stories and obtain all 12 jobs (All Main Stories + All Jobs). The run ended up being closer to a pseudo-playthrough for reasons below, but I think some of the fights are still interesting.

The music for this second segment is louder, and there are more battles, so hopefully it is more entertaining.

Here are the challenge restrictions:
- Level 1 (via mod)
- No Experience Points
- No Job Points (which means no skills or passives/support skills such as Hired Help, Surpassing Power, Saving Grace, etc)
- No Stat Nuts (even if we get them by quest or whatever, we will not use them)
- No Beast Lore (I avoid this because Level 1 H'aanit can still capture bosses or invincibility summons, which trivializes battles)

* I will also be using some Quality of Life mods to accelerate the game, as a normal run of this would be extremely long (I estimate between 20 to 30 hours):
- Spurning Ribbon mod - characters start with the ribbon; this cuts several hours from having encounters. - Therion Steals mod - I used Randomizer to create a 100% Therion steals mod for his chapter steals, like his thieves clothes in chapter 4 or the Oasis Water in chapter 2. At level 1, all of these would be 3% and would just be tedious resets

I have other QoL mods but they will not make any gameplay difference. I have the Remove Protagonist mod that allows my starter Primrose to be removed, but I do not intend to remove her until clearing her story (didn't bother taking out my mods for an unofficial challenge run). I also use Better Descriptions for better item/skill descriptions and a Teleport Out of Hornburg mod, but those don't matter. (I was unable to defeat Galdera with these restrictions, and I suspect he is impossible unless you allow skills or duplication glitches, which is why this is All Main Stories% and not Galdera%.) I also have the Credits skip mod so that I don't have to wait out the 8 minutes (I'll add that to my timer separately since this isn't an official speedrun category).

General notes on the route:

Originally, I planned this run with encounters, but they just slowed the run down too much, so I decided to allow Spurning Ribbon. I didn't want to reroute it with the ribbon though, so this is something of a makeshift route with only a very general outline.

My original idea was similar to my Level 1 Ophilia run, starting with Prim, tagging Noblecourt, getting Tressa/Cyrus, running around Forest of Purgation for early money, then buying Empowering Bracelets/armor to loot more towns and dungeons. With Spurning Ribbon, all that prep isn't necessary and you skip hundreds of battles/flees, which makes the run a lot more enjoyable.

I also tested different starts. Previously, I did Dreisang, Olberic, then Balogar as getting Double Tomahawk makes Balogar freer, and Sorcerer helps with Olb's battles. But Balogar first saved a lot more stones, so I decided to go with that first, along with earlier Ophilia for the BT Staff/Empowering Necklace. This is followed by Olberic as Double Tomahawk helps with stealing L Stones.

After him, we tackle characters for better gear before the stronger bosses. For example, we want Vendetta Coat from Simeon before Ogre Eagle or Redeye, and we want more elemental weps before Lucia, etc. Starseer/Warmaster are also delayed as they are resource-intensive and not very useful.

Notes on second segment:

Dreisang is relatively easy with enough HP and elemental defense gear, and I mainly use poison/runes to get past him because I want my L stones to last until I defeat Werner later (unlocking Double Tomahawk allows us to steal L stones more easily).

After Dreisang, I go for Mattias for the BT Staff and Empowering Necklace. It also unlocks Wispermill which has 5 L stones, which breaks about even with the number of stones needed for Ophilia's last chapter. (Mattias is also not too difficult with Concoct + the elemental defense gear we prepped for Dreisang.)

After that, we go for Olberic's chapter to eventuall unlock the Double Tomahawk and BT Axe unlocks. Sorcerer and Runes help clear the battles, and Olberic uses Hunter for his challenges. Later, we put on the Lizardking Axe for his tankier last solo battles (Erhardt and Red Hat).

In the next segment, we'll aim for Werner and then try to stockpile some stones before moving on to clear more character chapters.
