Oculus Quest streaming SteamVR games via ALVR
This is a test for using ALVR (https://github.com/polygraphene/ALVR/releases) to stream a SteamVR game (in this case Vox Machinae) to the Oculus Quest. A good 5.8GHz Wifi connection is required, but the results are stunning. Works great for slower paced games, however playing something like Table Tennis somehow doesn't work - the ball and the bat seem to not connect while moving quickly even though it's shown correctly.
But this is an exciting prospect. imagine using Wifi6 with it's improved bandwidth and latency with a future lightweight standalone headset... Things will only get better from here on out.
