Wanted to post this i found a lot of the people reviewing it were super experts and didn't really talk about the important points. Excuse my spelling but just posted my notes below. Main takeaway is just get the quest 2. Resolution is the biggest issue still.

Virtual reality S
Introduction
I bought it on amazon and I paid 622aud for it
- This is an actual user review wasn’t paid didn’t get it free
- A lot of them I feel like they don’t actually use it and they just all parrot the same things
- I’ve spent over 120 hours in this headset so I’m going to share with you my experience
- I have only used phone vr before a couple of times and used a cinema one in Japan briefly so I don’t have much VR experience so I am new to this

First, I’m going to go over the positives then Negatives questions I had before I bought it and then a quick discussion / Summary
Positives
This is the future
This is insane definitely the future of everything
Blew my mind away
Actual 3d spaces
You can see depth and it takes you to other worlds
Every time I use it, I forget how good it is
Can play steam games (half-life Alyx etc...)
Not locked into the oculus eco system you are completely free to do what you want
Don't need a Facebook account
So easy to set up
You just draw in your area it takes 30 seconds and remembers every time
Strap is really good feels comfortable on my head\
It’s perfect what can I say
Controllers are great
They are light and easy to use you forget you are even using them fit super comfortable in hands
Built in mic and speakers are really good
They were great obviously better with my proper headphones like my bose ones but they are good enough not as bad as every said they were I was expecting aeroplane headphone quality but these are great.
Piracy
Super easy to get free games especially if you want to try them
Games
There are so many games you can play now like half life alyx.
Negatives
These are my negatives what I think about when using it. Not in comparison to other headsets but my experience.
Resolution
- It's not there yet
- Reminds me of using a computer a long time ago when you can see the individual pixel like literally see them.
- Painful after long period of times
- I have really sensitive eyes
- Painfully dry eyes after a while
- Bloodshot eyes
Cable
Get’s tangled and it’s really annoying.
Glitches
- Glitchy sometimes they feel really slow
Sometimes sensors mess up on oculus doesn't recognise the headset and have to unplug and replug it in.
- Hasn't happened in a while buy thought i should mention
- Lenses kept fogging up (actually really annoying)
- Upsidown sometimes sometimes
Display Port
Why not go with HDMI? Makes no sense
Although I don’t care but HDMI would have been better
Updates
No future support from Facebook and it’s getting discontinued
It’s not supported like the quest is
But the way it works now it fine
Technology
Reminds me of where phones were before the iPhone
They just haven’t worked things out like movement, hand tracking is so close but isn’t there and resolution is trash
Movement makes you sick

Desktop Unusable
Resolution just isn’t there yet

There is a block when you use it
It’s a bit of a hassle just my experience
Questions I had?
Questions i have before i bought it.
1. Resolution screen door effect can see the individual pixels
2. Field of view isn't an issue it looks fine, i thought it would be like only a small square but it's good enough
3. You do lose yourself in worlds and forget you are in one
4. Motion sickness is a bitch but it gets better and better over time couldn't play bone works i need teleport movement but i have been working up to it

Summary
Should you buy it?
No…
Will i return it?
- Yes, getting a quest 2 it’s better in almost everyway and almost cheaper, it has a higher resolution then the index
Space
You don't need much space to use it the system to use it is really good
