You may be asking.
Why the hell is this a video with a flying circle with a gun strapped to it burning down a rock?
Well.
I've come to explain the lore of "planet cleanser"
A small game I'm working on.
In the middle of the video you can see a slideshow of different images, that is the individual phases of development.
This is only the beginning not even into the lore yes (which is why I have you all here today)
But in short the rocks a genocidal omnipotent race (we will get there when we get there ok?)
And the drone is a "planet cleanser"
Meant to remove these rocks from planets to make them suitable for life (life that won't be killed on sight that is)
In game it's less "flamethrower" and more "railcannon"
But let's get on with the lore shall we?

The red rocks are "catalysts"
A race of semi-living rocks
They have no brain, but their crystalline structure acts as one, and they gain energy through magnetic fields.
They also can produce "essence"
(Lore meaning it has a soul)
They can see by an "unknown process" without eyes, giving them a nearly infinitely precise vision, and through another "unknown process"
They can see anywhere in the known universe.
Another thing about them is they can influence *chance*
To what they want.

If a bug were to have gone left, the catalysts could have instead made it have gone right, for example.
But this also means they can influence thoughts.
And if enough of them were to fully use their ability they could rewrite reality to what they want,
(At the cost of a few of their lives due to being "fried") This is important later

Most catalysts found earth within the second of the first cell evolving.
Each watched without knowing the others even existed.
Realizing they could replicate the process on their own planets, they did, by influencing chance to bring the right chemicals together in the right order.

Each found out about their breathren's existence by watching the planets that held them slowly change to hold life.
With no current way to communicate, they were alone, but knew they were each out there.
This is the first instance of their reality warping.

Every catalyst at once tried one singular action, making a link to the others.
Due to the sheer amount of catalysts, and the fact they all tried the same thing, reality was forced into creating the linkage.
Each one would now be able to communicate.
At the cost that their minds would be running at a lower capacity whenever communicating due to reality itself adding a downside, to punish the catalyst's.
On top of the fact that roughly 3.7 billion catalysts were "fried" by the process. Effectively killing them.

But now they were no longer alone, terraforming their own planets into habitable worlds, and creating life.

Each one was incapable of perfectly replicating earth's lifeforms.
But it was close enough.
They even recreated humans.
(Dubbed "semi-humans" due to their slightly off appearance compared to original humans)
And then influenced the digging of mines to the underground depths where the catalysts laid buried for billions of years. The crystalline bodies of the catalysts were treated as gods.
And given temples.
Churches, dedicated to each.

Until the catalysts realized, that earths humans were losing faith in their gods, fearing what would happen due to their physical nature and fragility, they used their reality warping again.
This time to create a new being, or several
"The fortifications"
In the beginning they only came in 3 types
1: the breaker, a floating and spinning mace ball of rock and catalyst crystal, for their own morality purposes, the original catalysts did not give the breakers their own minds, instead being controlled like a extension of themselves.
2: the mines, a explosive catalyst rock.
When threatened would explode and create more of itself from the fragments of catalyst inside it.
3: living walls
Connected to a catalyst's soul itself the living walls couldn't be penetrated with high-caliber ammunition of today much less the swords and stones of the age they were made to combat.
Each catalyst sorrounded their temples with all 3 types of fortifications,
Each was very efficient at their purposes.
In total it only took 213 years to kill off the semi-human species.
Of the trillions of dead semi-humans
Only a few hundred catalysts were killed.
The ones that were , were unable to use their chance altering abilities due to low amounts of energy. But the weren't "killed"
Simply just "vanished" into the communications link.
Strengthening all others power.
When their total destruction was complete they realized another experiment would result in the same outcomes, and turned their attention to expanding their own empire.
To do this they would need energy.
So they slept.
Slowly consuming magnetic fields.
Growing in power.
Still in their temples guarded by each fortification, until they rested aswell.
The universe would be theirs.
As whatever god made humans (in the eyes of the catalyst's... made a mistake)
