Great remaster.
It revamps the battle system so everyone has lower HP but the elements are more meaningful, and things go faster. New animations, new soundtrack (because they couldn't licence the samples for the old one, but it's nice that we get another soundtrack anyway), a few new enemies (Rupture-burnt, Speckter-mites, Fission Specter), accessibility features, screen borders, a clever solution to the password puzzle, and six new bosses themed around the Zodiac cards.
I will probably play the French version while reading it out loud in front of my mum, as a memory exercise.
This made me feel a lot better, given my total depression just before it came out.
Mad props to this game for getting ratings as low as ESRB T/PEGI 12 with its themes of drug addiction, cannibalism, murder of the defenseless and euthanising the world. The wonders of (A) having a cartoony art style and (B) having Dedan not say "fuck".
