298Heya everyone, and welcome to an extremely special one of a kind Funko Five Nights at Freddy’s Toy Unboxing Video!!!
Today I’ve got my hands on what is without doubt the rarest piece of merch in my collection and possibly the rarest item I’m ever gonna own. Today I got the one and only Prototype / Sample plush of the 2018 Hot Topic Exclusive BB plush. That’s right, the first BB plush made before the design was finalised and mass produced. This item is so obscure in fact that practically nobody within the FNAF Community knew of this items existence until it was randomly listed on eBay last Monday. This is because it’s a sample which was never meant to be viewed by the public let alone owned by someone. This is most likely the only Prototype Balloon Boy plush to exist and I’m beyond honoured to own something like this, in many cases prototypes are thrashed or given to an employee or something. So the fact that I’ve got this in my hands is so so lucky, you’ll definitely never see anyone receive and unbox this item!!! Let’s not forget the fact that this is the prototype for an exclusive plush that was manufactured 5 years ago and people are already spending $200 for this plush normally, so this os without a doubt worth the £225 I spent on it.
As I previously said, this sample BB was before the design was finalised. So there are quite a few differences which really separate this prototype from the officially released Balloon Boy plush. Firstly we’ve got the face. The prototype BB has a different cheek colour to the released one. The proto has cheeks that match the colour of his hair whilst the released one has red cheeks as Balloon Boy in game does. The overall colours of the Proto BB are lighter than the released one, from the beanie to the skin to the shoes. Onto the body: the Proto BB has a black outline around the body unlike the released one which has a white outline. Personally I think the black outline looks better than the white which was given to the released one. Another thing is that the sample BB has adjustable things while the released one has sleeves that can’t be moved. Again, another feature that is much cooler on this prototype. Last but not least is the fact that got prototype has a special prototype tag. This is the exact same tag as the prototype Sister Location and Twisted One prototypes from Toy Fair 2017 / 2018.
