At first I didn't plan to upload a comparison video, but here we go.

The new character are still quite rough in animation etc. which is expected. Star Stable stated that they are being worked on still and will improve over time. What you see now is a comparison right after release today. The special animation looks to me like a placeholder until they are polished for each specific animation of every horse breed. It looks quite funny right now :D
Edit: It seems Sso accidentally put the mustang animations onto the character special move (bucking animation) and several horse breeds were affected too

My personal opinion, they are quite good. Already looking better compared to the old. Of course players are missing the old simply because of the good memories and nostalgia, I also felt a bit sad to see them go, as if your character retired and a new one takes over to care for your horses, but I am open for the change and I go positive onto this c: They have great potential!
