Old & outdated? Turn based combat and it's return to mainline Final Fantasy / FF16
1,950Boring! Outdated! Slow-paced! With both Final Fantasy XV and the FFVII remake passing up on turn based combat. A growing narrative that its a system of the past losing rapidly to the droves of action orientated titles out now. It seems even the suggestion that turn based returning to the mainline FF series or even FF16 is a laughable joke. But with Persona 5, some news form square enix president Matsuda and the story of JRPG successes in 2017. It may not be as proposterous as we all think.
