Watch with headphones! Now that the reimagined Old Mill has opened at Kennywood, let's compare the scenes to that of the ride's previous incarnation: Garfield's Nightmare. Though black light remains in use, the story has completely changed, now focusing on a skeleton named Harold and his journey in the old west as he hops on a train and tries to rob a bank. The new version is a faithful tribute to the classic pretzel dark rides made popular by Bill Tracy, but with some new elements not seen in the previous Old Mill iteration- known as the Haunted Hideaway. Garfield's Nightmare may be missed by those that grew up with it, but to many, the return of the Old Mill was much needed!

Garfield's Nightmare was handled by Blacklight Attractions and Halloween Productions and opened in 2004.
Old Mill (2020) was done in-house by Kennywood with design help by ScareHouse.
