Sonic Robo Blast 2 Review: Sonic's Best Fangame? (SRB2) #sonicfangames

Fangame devs never fail to impress and inspire me, I mean you're talking about making full on experiences for free! On the other side of the spectrum, Sonic the Hedgehog fangames are notorious for only getting a few test levels, maybe an engine test or two and nothing further, I've never stopped to appreciate many of them because of that. So today, let's take a look at one of my favorites, Sonic Robo Blast 2!

Sonic Robo Blast 2 is a 3D open-source Sonic the Hedgehog fangame built using a modified version of the Doom Legacy port of Doom. SRB2 is closely inspired by the original Sonic games from the Sega Genesis, and attempts to recreate the design in 3D. While SRB2 isn't fully completed, it already features tons of levels, enemies, speed, and quite a lot of the fun that the original Sonic games provided.
